COLLEGE SCANDAL

Huffman

Huffman is getting 2 weeks in jail for a college scandal. 2 weeks, can you believe that none sense. I don’t know what’s happening to this country. People are going to jail for 2 weeks. Huffman should appeal that decision, that’s ridiculous. Why are you putting this lady in jail at all. There have been other people that have done the same thing and the Justice Department didn’t even deem it worthy to investigate. Because she’s wealthy, they are going to put her in jail. That’s not a reason for someone to go to jail. You’re socioeconomic class is never a good reason to put someone in jail. She’s getting punished for being rich. I know that might sound funny but once you allow socioeconomic reasons to dictate jail sentences, the poor will never get a fair chance. If you can lock people up for being rich for doing something dumb that didn’t hurt anyone and that a middle class or poor person did before and didn’t get any charges filed, then they laid out a blueprint to do the same thing to poor people and letting rich people off. A great example is the big bank bail outs, they knew that their actions would do harm yet not one banker saw the inside of a prison, a poor person robs a bank, basically the same thing the rich person did by other means and they get 20 years. Huffman shouldn’t see a day in jail. Laws and punishment should be constant, they should not conflict based on personal issues. FREE Felicity Huffman. FREE Felicity Huffman. For some reason, I don’t think that will catch on.

Pro Choice?

LOL. I’m pro choice, not pro abortion. It’s funny that men are the ones that are yelling the loudest about giving birth yet anything we give birth to we have to flush down the toilet. The way I see it is, the aborted have a one way ticket to heaven, don’t have to meet Peter at the pearly gates, they have a free pass into heaven without having to be judged. They might actually be the lucky ones.

CNN CLIMATE CHANGE TOWN HALL MEETINGS

CNN's climate crisis town hall

After listening to these good people speak about climate change, I learned how woefully uneducated I am on the subject. Whoever the next President is, Republican or Democratic, the very first thing that must change is education. We need this science taught at the elementary and high school level, not the college level because we all aren’t as lucky. I felt like a dumb dumb, which is ok because my ex-wife happened to nickname me that, so I am living up to the moniker. The other thing is, maybe we should also look at other methods to help, like leading in some new carbon catching technology for fossil fuels that can make a difference, maybe the people that can’t make light bulbs anymore, can now have a new industry in making filters that eliminate fossil fuel carbons as we change to healthy power sources. People that oppose new technologies  or refuse to change, most of the time, is because they are not fully aware or fully educated on the issue. Education, education, education. And we need it put in terms that we understand, in my case, just draw it with a crayon.

MOTHER EARTH

mother earth

We all heard the term Mother Earth. I believe that Earth is a living organism that gives life to everything that lives on it. If she dies, everything that inhabits it dies with it. Do you want to take the chance of being wrong about our planets health? If the trees die, we die, did you know that? If the soil rots and trees can’t grow, we die.

Can I ask you a question? Would you pollute your own home? Would you throw trash anywhere inside your own home? Would you light a fireplace and close the the flue and let carbon dioxide pollute your own home? Would you pour acid (rain) on your own lawn? Would you throw plastic bottles in your own pool? Would you kill your own pets? Would you destroy your own house when you don’t have another one and force your family to suffer? Would you allow a hole in your own roof, so as not to protect you and your family  from inclement weather and harmful UV rays? Why would you destroy the only planet that you have, because you don’t own it? I think it’s time to think as Mother Earth as an inheritance that you are giving your children. Generally we try to upgrade our home, make it better, not destroy it. Why would you destroy what keeps your home alive?

We can disagree about almost anything, taxes, abortions, walls, who to be friends with and not be friends with, gun rights, health insurance, etc…. Those won’t kill us, mmm, maybe health insurance. I think we should all agree that protecting Mother Earth is one thing that we can’t disagree on.

It used to be that we used only what we needed, now we want want what we have an abundance of, speaking of carbon emitting products, not recyclable products.

If that doesn’t persuade you then I have to say this, stop being fucking selfish and think of your kids and their kids and so on.

So, ahemmmm, that being said, lets find a way to make sure our kids have a home for their home. I think what we need is climate and energy as a required course in high school.

QUALIFIERS FOR DEMO DEBATE

demo debate 7 30 2019

There is one name that I would like to see on that debate forum that isn’t there, that’s of Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard. The Sniper, duly nicknamed for her rapid fire attack on Sen. Harris, is a worthy candidate that holds everyone accountable for their actions. She is also the only female war veteran. I think it a big mistake leaving her off of the debate stage. I’m starting to feel a 2016 Sanders end run game plan here by the DNC. She levels criticism on one of the top contenders and now she seems absent off of the stage. I don’t like it, no, I don’t like it one bit. I also don’t like mint chocolate ice cream but they haven’t stop selling that, so… it really doesn’t matter what I like, still think it’s wrong though…. both, Gabbard not being included and mint chocolate.

The next debate is on the verge of needing two nights

Democratic presidential candidates* by whether and how they qualified for the third primary debate, as of Aug. 26

MET THRESHOLD FOR
CANDIDATE NO. OF POLLS POLLS DONORS QUALIFIED

Marianne Williamson 1
Kirsten Gillibrand 1 Has cancelled her bid for the Presidency
Michael Bennet 0
Steve Bullock 0
Bill de Blasio 0
John Delaney 0
Tim Ryan 0
Joe Sestak 0

*For candidates considered “major” by FiveThirtyEight.

To qualify for the third debate, a candidate must reach 2 percent in at least four national or early-state polls from qualifying polling organizations and must have at least 130,000 unique donors, including at least 400 donors in at least 20 states. Information released by campaigns is used to determine whether a candidate has hit the donor threshold. If a campaign announced it had reached 130,000 donors but did not say whether it had at least 400 donors in 20 states, we assumed that it had met the latter requirement as well. Candidates will have to prove to the DNC that they have met the donor requirements.

SOURCES: POLLS, MEDIA REPORTS

The ones that are in bold, I feel, should have made the cut, at least for the next debate.

POTENTIAL HABITABLE PLANET

potential habitable planet

The USA Today newspaper reported that scientists have discovered a blue planet that may be habitable. Is that good news, maybe for us, maybe not so much for that planet. I was talking to my son about his future. We always discuss different topics, mainly to see what his views are on different things. This particular day we discussed what he should major in and why. He was all into game designing, what adolescent isn’t. He likes game theory and coding. I told him that I would like to see him double major in mechanical engineering and astrophysics, what parent doesn’t. He asked me why and I explained that those are the jobs of the future, especially with climate change being such a crisis, mechanical engineers, along with civil and other engineering fields, are going to be in the forefront in finding a new way to adapt to growing oceans and diminishing resources. I told him that I expect that we are going to look for a new planet to inhabit and that scientists recently found a planet that may be habitable and that a mechanical engineer would be needed to design a vessel that may have to carry people that could travel for such a long time. That we would need to find a way to induce artificial gravity on a vessel on such a long trip and I would love it if he were one of the people working on a project like that. Then it occurred to me, what would we do if we could do that?

What would we do if we could inhabit another planet? Would we mine for coal and fossil fuels or would we use something akin to the green new deal? Wind, solar, and clean energy (I’m guessing nuclear). Would we let cows fart? Of course we would, that was a joke. If we could start anew, would we do the same things there that forced us to look for a new planet in the first place? I hope not. Would we have different countries and crazy border issues or would we be borderless? Would we make sure everyone was happy regardless of what origin they were from on the planet they left from or would we start separating people into different regions? Would we have borders and build walls or would we be free? Would we build weapons of mass destruction that could render that new planet useless or would we ban such actions? So what would we do?

Then it occurred to me, why do we have to wait to get to a new planet to do those things, why can’t we just do them on this planet, right now? At least work towards that goal.

You ever notice that you inhabit a planet that is habitable. If you inhabit something, wouldn’t it be inhabitable? That’s one of the things I would like to change on a new planet, confusing literacy. Maybe not a priority.

Lol, I tell a poignant story and end it with the most absurd shit ever.

Inter(n)ment Camps on Our Southern Border

Auschwitz
Auschwitz

With the thought of implementing family separations in the southern border once again, I would like to remind people that we were not the originators of such methods. There was another person that decided to separate families. I would ask that we think long and hard how this time in our history will be remembered and who we will draw comparisons to. Our legacy as a nation will be judged in times like these and how we decided to treat people that were way less fortunate who were trying to escape tyranny. Historians will not be kind, our grandchildren will be ashamed and God will be our ultimate judge. Think Marshal Plan. The money we are spending to intern these people away from their families for a crime that is equal to driving without a license could be better spent coming up with a permanent solution that could cement us as a leader of the world.

THE DANGEROUS TARIFF WAR WITH CHINA

tariff wars

The incredibly growing tariff war with China has hit home. The stock markets are declining and the average American will soon feel the pinch. Is it necessary? Is it necessary to get into what will amount to an all out fight against China over tariffs? I don’t know, I’m not an economist or hold a degree in that field, so I called a buddy of mine and asked him and he said that we should send tanks and take over Taiwan. In all fairness, he isn’t an economist either or particularly good at world geography, he works at a deli, so after getting my bagel with cream cheese and grape jelly, I decided he doesn’t really know what a tariff war is. What I do think is probably around the same as the common laymen, that doesn’t play X-box Call of Duty, even though he does make a mean cream cheese bagel with grape jelly, and that is that we might as well get it over with now. A trade war was bound to happen. China keeps devaluing it’s yuan, or is it peso, dollar, euro?, China keeps devaluing it’s money and that’s going to keep us, who almost pay a fair wage to it’s employees, on edge. Companies keep moving there manufacturing businesses there because of the cheap labor. That cheap labor, who gets paid something like $3.41 on the low side, is attractive to people that like profit over people. China has the largest disparity of income between classes, having the most millionaires in the world. You can’t have the most millionaires without having low paying wages. China keeps there poverty rates and housing conditions under wrap, meaning that if you got to wikipedia, you probably won’t get the most accurate information. In the end, China’s ambition, don’t really know what they are, to devalue there money is tied to keeping their products cheaper when they export them to the U.S.. I’m not saying that China doesn’t have the right to attract businesses and reap rewards and stave off of poverty, (wait, taking a bite of my bagel) but when you keep wages low, then you devalue your money, people living two to a studio apartment, have the highest disparity between working classes then any other nation, and don’t pay a fair minimum wage across the board, ratchet up military spending (maybe they’re worried about North Korea), and allow loopholes to the labor laws to be constantly exploited, then it’s hard to be sympathetic to these millionaires. While the administration’s reasons for the tariff war might not be what I think it is, to promote humane treatment and prevent people from being exploited as cheap labor, maybe… no huh, it still can have that affect.

This is where the Marshal Plan would be effective. Castro’s idea of a Marshal Plan, even if President Trump gets re-elected (since a Demo came up with the idea), should have some very serious consideration. The plan of America First sounds a little self serving but everyone knows that increasing the economic future of our neighbors to the south, not just Mexico, will eventually do what we all want. It will curb illegal immigration, it will make China reevaluate their position, it will stop illegal narcotics (at least from that corridor), it will raise our own minimum wage to a fair level ($37 an hour, just kidding), we will no longer feel the need to live inside a wall (I don’t anyway), it will save money building a wall, it will stabilize global markets mainly because devaluing the, I’m going to say the Ruble? no?, China’s currency will no longer have the same impact. Locking up ourselves in this dome that we are currently calling the U.S. because we fear, I don’t know, foreign cooties, which is different from regular cooties I guess, only plays right into China’s hands, (not that they are the bad guy but they should really pay their workers more plus in the end and they are a Communist government who can, with a swipe of their pen, take all the freedoms that we enjoy here away from their own citizens), and allows China to expand. China is currently investing in poor African Countries, a Marshal Plan of their own, and they are succeeding. If we become a hermit to the world, if we don’t become a beacon of freedom, I saw that in Justice League, and help out other countries, they are going to seek help from someone else and I’m sure China is more than ready to invest in their infrastructure. I’m sure they would love to invest in Honduras, Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador and the other countries that make up Central America. If I were them, I would, as soon as possible. Then you will have puppet regimes that are run by Huwaei 5G cell phone towers and our bigotry will get us what we deserve.

I’m not a fan of any type of government that can take away our right to vote, have guns, get an abortion, buy a house, own a pet that isn’t a shih tzu. If they succeed, they pretty much have said that communism is the right approach and then NRA can get into a frenzy over not being able to buy guns and we would all agree and the NRA would probably back abortions.
