Simply put, why boxing is the greatest sport in the world. Amazing fight, Fight of the Year candidate. Put my money on Loma but was glad to see I was wrong. A must see fight. Loma will be back but at 130, where he will reign for the next couple of years. Best fight for Lopez, in my opinion, is either Davis or Haney but if he goes to 140, Taylor is the man to beat. You know what though, he would probably do it. Just a great fight…. I should add that the commission let them fight without outside interference, I mean there was some electricity in there, but not that much that it swayed the fight. It was pretty close to a fair contest.
Pandemics were rare, especially the ones… the kind that could wipe out the human race, how do I know? Because I’m writing this shitty blog, therefore, some of us idiots are still alive. But the fallacy that pandemics only occur every one hundred years is a fairy tale like Cinderella, Snow White or the rule of law. All make believe stories that are made to make you feel better. The fact is that the H2N2/Asian flu in 1957-1958; the H3N2 flu virus in 1968; and the H1N1/swine flu in 2009 all come in a short period of time but science was ahead of the curve in those cases and able to stave off any mass hysteria. Well, we’re getting to the time where the viruses are starting to surpass science’s ability to negate any detrimental affects… effects… no it’s affects… of the harm it could do to society. One thing that goes hand in hand with these outbreaks is the ever changing climate and the advancing industrialization and deforestation of the planet. The planet, like my spine, is not in balance. It’s off it’s axis, a lot like the rare deformation of the C-1 spinal disc in my back. One has to wonder if these two phenomena (a plural of phenomenon, weird right, I didn’t know that either) climate change due to deforestation and industrialization and the pandemics are somehow linked. If it is, then look for a worse pandemic in the next twenty years as Brazil makes the whole country into a beach town by steadily removing the Amazon from existence. If there isn’t an eco-balance then I’m guessing that the world will find a way to balance itself out and what better way than to release a virus that would stop the culprits, in this case humans, from destroying it completely. That’s if you believe that the world is a living thing that lives on a homeostasis sort of ecology. I believe it. My point is we have two options, become a whole lot more eco friendly or have a way better pandemic solution than masks. Preferably both would be great.
I don’t know why we watch sports anymore if there is a “national” commission that pre-determines the winners. Last week I saw Jeyson Rosario get knocked out by Jermell Charlo with a jab to the elbow. I’m not saying that Charlo was involved but I am saying that anyone that paid for this fiasco just got ripped off for $75. A jab to the elbow, the new Achilles tendon, we’ll call it the Rosario elbow. I’m also not saying that Rosario threw the fight, what I am saying is that phones should be banned and fights should be held in candle light. Rosario was doing well until he forgot to protect his elbows from the softest shot Charlo threw that night. I would like to know ahead of time who they choose to win so I can put my money down as well. Pay per fraud…. Hispanics are having a hard time in the ring, my money is on Loma over Lopez. Can’t beat the lightning.
