RNC SPEECHES

The RNC gave it’s round of speeches and they were pretty good. Their strategy was to begin with the world is ending (if you vote the wrong way) and ended with glory, glory hallelujah. I was impressed with the First Lady, even with the absurd criticism of her attire, it didn’t overshadow that she felt like a very genuine person. VP Pence is a seasoned speech giver that delivered his message straight to the heart and soul of his political congregation, not meant as a poke at his religious beliefs, I hold the same ones just don’t interpret them the same way in some cases. I see that this is going to be a highly contested election.

One thing though, I agree that this country has the ability to be the best in the world but we have to realize that there is problems and not be blind to those problems. I’m not voting for anyone that doesn’t know what those problems are because they won’t know to fix them. If this country was perfect, we wouldn’t need two or more political parties, we would have just one and sing kumbaya all day and all night.

I was reading that African Americans are 2.1 times more likely to contract COVID-19 and that Hispanics are 1.1 times more likely to contract the disease than non-Hispanic white Americans. I made the comment that I found it odd that Hispanics rates were that high given the reasoning for the high rates. It was due to poor diet and lack of physical exercise. My thought was since Hispanics are essentially poorer(less steaks more chicken and beans), in general, and work the harder more demanding jobs i.e construction and farm labor, that the rates would be lower than everyone else but before I could respond my neighbor from across the street chimes in and says because we are always running from the police. Normally I would find a dig like that funny but given that he was completely serious, I had to stop laughing and say “Oh, you’re serious” and then point to the fact that Hispanics are the least likely to commit a crime of any nationality according to the CDC and FBI statistics, at least major crimes, but so as not to hurt his feelings I did tell him that we are number 1 on illegal immigration, so as not to bring him down too much and give him a reason to live.

It was Sunday and I was laying down enjoying a lazy day and my Colombian girlfriend told me it was time to get up so we can go to church. I told her that it was my day off and that I would wait for her in bed until she got back. She laid her head on my chest and started to softly rub my arm, gave me a kiss on my chest. She said in the sweetest voice “come with me, like that we can be together in heaven too”. I said “We have to be together in heaven too!?” All I remember after that is more spanish words than I grew up with and my mom doesn’t speak English, thank god she was going to church so she could get some forgiving, didn’t know that there was that many dirty Spanish words in the Spanish language, and that the sermon wasn’t that bad.

There was a silver lining. During her berating of my questioning our afterlife, the certain things that I could pick up in her multiple rapid fire Spanish tongue lashing was that when she slapped my behind and told me to get up and to get ready, I told her alright, I have to take a shower, she said hurry up, we’ll take a shower together to save time. Alright, I’m starting to like Church. It didn’t save any time.

QANON, who will probably hack my computer after I write this, but that’s alright, it won’t be the first time I had classified material stolen from my computer, is telling anyone that cares to listen that everyone is a pedophile unless you vote like them. The problem with saying everyone is a pedophile is that no one then is a pedophile. These allegations will become the same as crying wolf when it’s red riding hood, which I’m sure the boy scouts would love instead of the wolf. These allegations deaden the facts that there are some real life predators out there and they are going to be overlooked because of this crazy conspiracy campaign. People , like pedophiles and rapists, in my opinion, are the worst class of human being. People that use their power, influence and /or authority to force a minor or a woman to have sex with them with threats of harm or reprisal should get the death sentence because they are severely flawed individuals that need a restart and should start believing in the Hindu religion or become Buddhists (because of the reincarnation factor not because those religions promote any kind of sexual deviancy, I’m hoping you got that but I’m going to say it anyway). It’s going to be harder for parents of children (that were in the boy scouts in some instances) and women to be taken seriously if there is no accountability for stupid remarks and it belittles people that went through these traumatic experiences.

So please stop saying it unless your goal is to have people believe that no one is, then I have to wonder why you are doing that?

MOVIES TO WATCH DURING THE PANDEMIC

The last Narc

It’s an incredibly gripping true story of what happened to DEA agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena. Amazon outdid itself in the four part docu-series that shows that while the rest of the world sees America as a beacon of truth and good that “only in America is America not America”. The wall isn’t stopping the boogeyman, it’s protecting him. The good part is that the only way to change is to be open and transparent and America is at least is trying to do that through these docu-series that reveal exactly what happens.

(I hope I don’t get labeled a dissident because I truly believe what America stands for, it just hasn’t been realized yet)

I would also like to add, being of Hispanic descent, I admire Enrique and Hector’s efforts on the war on drugs, it’s good to have people that are relatable to you as positive role models. That would go for all races and ethnicities. I know that they are not perfect people but unless you are Jesus reincarnate, who is.

Colombian woman

My wife, who was Colombian, had three ways to win an argument.

  1. The soft tones with light touches and soothing glances
  2. The quiet, lay her head down and let a tear roll down her face
  3. The hahaha, where she would start by saying ha ha ha really loud and get into a 4 minute rant in Spanish which would go into something I did years ago and when you stop listening she ends it with “you are not even listening”.

In almost all instances I would agree to what she wants and she would then come up to me, give me a kiss, grab my head and push it into her chest (she was fully clothed, sometimes, and my wife). Then she would say, “go get breakfast while you’re at it”. The motor boating wasn’t always an option because sometimes I stood there waiting for it and she would just say, what are you looking at, vayase.

Scotland

I was in Scotland for work. While there, two of us went out for dinner. We ordered the surf and turf. The waiter brought over our meal with a small bowl of liquid yellow stuff. We started to eat and dip the lobster into this yellow stuff and it immediately started to burn my throat a little. We looked at each other and we kept going. The waiter came over and asked if we needed anything and I told him that this butter tastes a little funny. He says that’s because it’s not butter, it’s liquid soap to clean your hands when you grab the lobster. Me and my friend look at each other and the waiter just looked at us like we were stupid and said did you not know that. One of us asked have you ever been to the United States. He said yes. Okay, that thing you were cleaning your hands with, that was butter. The waiter then asked do you want me to bring butter and I said no, but can you show me your finest bottle of windex to go with the meal.. We didn’t order anything else after that. I think we got labeled the snotty Americans because when we walked out, the bartender gave us the peace symbol backwards. True story.

JESUS WAS A SOCIALIST PART DEUX

I noticed in my history that I had a lot of likes under blog post “Jesus was a Socialist”. I still agree with what I wrote and want to add that there was another man in biblical times that represents something like what is going on today. Moses led the chosen people out of Egypt into the homeland. On his way, he ran into an obstacle, not unlike a wall, the Red Sea, alright not exactly a wall either. He parted the Red Sea and his people got through and when the Egyptians tried to follow, the sea swallowed them up. Now I’m going to point to the “The Wall” on the southern border and how a big gust of wind took it down. I foresee a big hurricane decimating that wall and little Mexican guy on the other side with a red poncho and his goat herding staff with his hands in the air, saying “Hijole, vistes lo que paso”. Now, wouldn’t that be a sight.

I’m not saying let everyone in, but when you are the greatest country on Earth, it’s your responsibility to live up to that nom de plum and help the less fortunate. You call yourself Christian and you act more like heathens and pagans worshiping a wall.
