SCOTUS AT RISK

scotus 1

While we all appreciate the transparency in this high tech age, you now start to wonder was it worth it? I am wondering if the confirmation hearings could have been a private matter? And how good some of these background checks really are? And if the way this situation played out helped or hurt us as a nation? And if you keep it private, what are you hiding? I’m not trying to give a solution to what occurred, just wondering out loud.

Let me start by saying that no institution ran by people is ever going to be perfect simply because it is ran by people. We all fall short, so says the good book, and none of us are perfect or we would be turning water to wine, or beer if that’s what you prefer, every Saturday night to save on that liquor bill. The Supreme Court is made of people, therefore and since all people are flawed, like a good math equation, must be flawed. The problem is that some people, people that rape, murder and pillage (those damn marauders), are extremely flawed, while others jaywalked, did you know you can still can get a ticket for that, are less flawed. The point being is that we have a judicial system, maybe one of the best in the world, the one part of the government that most people still have/had trust in. I wonder if it was worth the erosion of that trust to have such contentious hearings? On the other hand, I wonder if it isn’t? We want the jaywalkers not the marauder. While in the ongoing case, no one is a marauder, you wonder if, the way it played out, if he is a little more than just a jaywalker. To be honest I don’t know, but people tend to think the worst until discovery.

FACT OF THE DAY!

angry manIrritability in men is often a result of high stress cortisol levels and low testosterone levels. Some men respond by acting out while others hold these feelings in and become depressed. Behaviors characteristic of men with Irritable Men Syndrome include: Angry.

13th Amendment

13th amendment

Enacted by the greatest President to ever represent the people. Abraham Lincoln. This amendment is one reason why anyone can prosper. If it were to be abolished, the repercussions would be more socio-economic. The wealthy would ultimately own the poor and crimes such as rape would also become legal because you can’t rape property, only people.

13th Amendment

Amendment XIII

Section 1.

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

Section 2.

Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

I am not voting for Kanye aka Ye for President. LOL, I hope he was kidding.

Update: amending the 13th is way better than abolishing it. Obviously everyone would want to know the mega stars opinion on how to amend it. Amending it would have to be for the benefit of people in the lower socio-economic classes, giving them a greater path to prosperity and individual growth while not impeding any other socio-economic classes momentum or prosperity.

Sexual Predators

sexual predators

The signs of sexual predators are not hard to miss, here are some items that you can look for;

  1. Quid pro Quo – I did you a favor, now you owe me. It can be as simple as fixing your car to letting you off of felony immigration charges to offering protection.
  2. They’ll try and say it was you, not them – It could be recorded, it could be happening, they will try and convince you and everyone else that it was you and not them. They will try and turn it on you by saying phrases like “she/he wanted it” “she/he liked it”
  3. Sexual predators will be adept at setting traps – They will know exactly when the right time to pounce is. They will surveil you and now exactly what to do  and when you are at your most vulnerable, i.e. asleep, incapacitated or by yourself and feeling lonely and vulnerable. They might try and cause those conditions if possible.
  4. They feel entitled or powerful – They feel that it’s within their right to do it. That you must submit. That they can do whatever they want. They feel that they can do what you can’t or that you can’t do what they can. They liken themselves to superheroes.
  5. They try and create Stockholm Syndrome – They will make you feel like you are one of the team, that you are part of them, that you must join them for your sake.
  6. They will use fear as a tool – They will scare you into submission. They will make you feel like you should do what they want and do what they say. That, that is the only way out. They will try and make you cry, make you weak, both physically and mentally and doubt yourself.
  7. They will try and confuse you – They will use whatever tricks they can to make you think you are crazy, that you got it wrong, that they are the good ones and you are the bad one. They will say “prove it” a lot. They will say “drop it”. They will call you a “liar”. They will try and change the subject. They will try and turn you against people that are trying to help you.
  8. They will try to humiliate you and embarrass you – They will try to keep you quiet by humiliating you and embarrassing you. Try and convince you that no one will believe you. Call you names like whore or slut for women/wives and gay for men/ husbands trying to protect their wives.
  9. They are dangerous – If they feel cornered, they might resort to violence or harm you in any capacity within their means. They might try to sabotage your car, injure your back or any method that will get you to stop your allegations.
  10. They use intimidation – They will try an outnumber you or use their size to intimidate you. They might try and outsmart you or use their high intellect to make you feel overwhelmed with double talk, absurd reasoning or legal mumbo jumbo that has no place in the event.

The more powerful the person/entity the more means they have. It’s difficult, you and/or you family might have been sexually assaulted and then you have to contend with the fight they will bring to you if you dare challenge them. They will definitely be narcissistic, their thought patterns is “we can make it happen” when it comes to sex.

MPO: TEACH YOUR CHILD TO DEFEND THEMSELVES

Self Defense

Everyone should teach the basics of doing the right thing, being respectful and showing humility but I think it’s just as important to teach them to defend themselves. Take them to karate lessons or boxing lessons. This will give them confidence to stand up for themselves in all situations. I have been teaching my child to to box since the age of 9. You won’t regret it.

MPO: What’s love got to do with it

tina turner

This has nothing to do with Tina Turner except that she is an amazing singer. The fact is that too many people base there judgments on likability. They are easily swayed by a person that is likable and tend to decry people that aren’t as charismatic or amiable. That likability factor plays a role in how people perceive one another. This doesn’t mean likable people aren’t good people but that they sometimes get the benefit of the doubt more often than they should. My criteria for deciding is simple, I will always choose the side of the person that is right over the person that is wrong. I can hate you, loathe you, think nothing of you  but if you are right, you will have my support. I can love you, like you, feel that you are a great person but will fight against you if you are wrong. It is that simple. It should be that simple for everyone but it’s easier said than done.

I THANK GOD FOR BOXING

boxing gloves

I would like to share a story of why everyone should do boxing.

I have trained in boxing, on and off, for the past thirty odd years. Have never been good enough to really do anything with it financially speaking, but it has kept me in good shape. When I severely sprained my ankle while working in the border Patrol, I stood on one leg and and a leg with an air cast and used boxing drills to keep me in shape. As soon as I was cleared to run again, something that I used to love to do, I was able to run down a group of illegal citizens that had crossed. Chasing them down for a little less than a mile, carrying all my equipment , the day after I was cleared to return to work. Boxing is an amazing sport that fine tunes your body. What it does mostly, it refines your reflexes. It makes them quicker and steady.

This was never more apparent when my son, at the age of 8, for some reason decided to cross the street running while an SUV had just accelerated at full speed to beat a light. I had just turned my head to the right to look for oncoming traffic when I caught my son, who was to my left, through the corner of my eye, racing into the middle of the street. Out of nowhere, my left hand, my best hand, I used to throw a mean and quick left hook, even though I’m righty, reached out and grabbed him and pulled him back. The SUV was literally, not figuratively, right upon him. I pulled him back and out of the way. All I can think is that if my son gotten hit that day, I would have never been able to live with myself. It would have devastated me. My son apologized and he knew better. I have been teaching him to the cross the street since he was 5. I don’t know what got into his head.

I thank boxing, it literally saved my son’s life.
