IMO: SELF-PARDON !?!?!?!?

The presumptive ability to self pardon oneself is an interesting debate. It has never been done before and it would be amazing to see how it would play out in courts. With one Capitol Police Officer dead, the riots in Capitol Hill have taken an ominous turn. It now has the label of a murder pending a Federal investigation. The Capitol Police Officer, may he rest in peace and my deepest sorrows goes out to his family, who died after having an altercation with rioters, and probably due to some prior health problems, most likely had a cardio infarction, a heart attack, after the stress of the situation. The culprits, mostly, I’m guessing all, political supporters of the current President who falsely believe that the election was stolen from them, it wasn’t, acted hastily and without care for human life. The problem though lies in what happened prior to the riots. Their was a speech given where several speech makers used rhetoric that specifically mentioned violence, a pre-cursor to the riots that might be seen as marching orders to create havoc. I listened to the speeches and while some people did make worrisome remarks, including a sitting congressman with ambitions that now will never be realized, I did not hear anything from the current President that called for violence, admittedly I did not hear the full speech but clips played by the media. I know that the left have interpreted some of his remarks that way but that is more hopeful wishing than reality. We have to keep things real and not make alternate realities just for your own purposes. I know that the current President is not very popular among the people, he is a hate or love him type of personality but when it comes to the rule of law (what a joke) that has no bearing on charges. I am one that feels that a President, current or former, should only be indicted if he commits treason or uses the power of his office, while he is in office, for monetary gain. I’m not saying that murder or rape should be excused but I’m just presuming that someone we elected into office wouldn’t commit those heinous crimes. Nevertheless, self pardoning has been mentioned. Personally I think, given everything I know about how the government works, it should be fine. People in the government have done much worse and they pardon themselves all the time but given the intense scrutiny of being President, the world will be watching and common sense should tell you that self pardoning is a ridiculous notion. My advice, if it were me, (it would never be me) I would resign three days prior to the President – elect takes his oath and have my second in command issue those pardons. Of course, this would mean that VP Pence could only serve one more term as President if he ever decided to run for the office but chances are that, since he is forever linked to President Trump and these rioters created such chaos, he would not make it past the primaries. While VP Pence is actually a likable person and stood his ground on these decertification fiascos by not going along with it, plays well for him, he is ultimately tied to one of the most disastrous Presidency’s in history. The pandemic, the insurrection riot, racial riots, the devaluation of the American Dollar, will always be fodder for his opponents. But once again, self-pardon, nope, resign and have your number two pardon you, yep.

I would like to add that thank God it wasn’t Hispanic People, there might have been a couple, in the Capitol Hill “insurrections” or you would have seen a wall built in less than thirty minutes. Hahaha…. it would have been labeled the Freedom Wall. You have to have a little sense of humor with it or you would just go nuts.

You know what’s funny, President Trump could come back as a Senator for the the Sunshine State. Crazier things have happened.

Another thing I would like to mention is that I hope that this never happens again. Politicians words make a difference in the feeble minded. They believe in what these people say like it’s religion. They will literally overtake the Capitol building and commit felonies if told to because they are too dumb to know better. I would never vote for a narcissistic demagogue who is hell bent on feeding his/her ego. Those people that objected to the certification of President – elect Biden’s verification were appealing to the mass’s confused message of despair and profiting off of it while sowing discord for their personal benefit. That is the exact definition of demagogue. Look it up. Your job is to tell the truth above all else and you are failing your constituents.

HOW TO FIX SOCIAL SECURITY

The easiest way to fix social security is by combining it with CMS (Medicare) and then going to a medicare for all system. The money involved will make Social Security solvent permanently and it would reduce the costs of medical insurance as well as boost the economy because it will put money in the tax holders hands and they would spend it on consumer goods. It would mean getting rid of insurance companies that are constantly in the top ten of the fortune 500 companies but I’m sure other companies will take their spots.

Not only will this work, it will eventually increase what you receive in Soc. Sec. retirement when you hit 65. With the current system, you might not receive anything when you are 65 but the fortune 500 companies will still be getting 30 million payouts for their CEO’s with golden parachutes and retiring on their yachts and villas. This is only my opinion but I don’t think death should be profitable.

The President that fixes Soc. Sec. will be guaranteed to be listed as one of the top three President’s to ever serve. It’s one of the heftiest tasks ever to be undertaken and will guarantee his/her legacy as it will guarantee Americans the financial security they paid for. If you look at history, the top two Presidents, Lincoln and Washington, the only two Presidents to serve in a ground war on American soil are almost impossible to surpass but the person that brings this country to financial solvency is guaranteed spot three.

From the magazine Fortune that prints the fortune 500 list, coming at number 7, drum roll please….

The nation’s largest health insurer fired on all cylinders in 2019, with a 7% increase in revenues that brought the company to a total of $242 billion. Its UnitedHealthcare division grew by $10 billion last year, but the insurer’s real not-so-secret weapon continued to be its Optum unit, which provides an array of health care services including data analytics and pharmacy benefits management. Optum revenues climbed 12% year-over-year to $113 billion. UnitedHealth Group also has considerable ambitions for its Medicare Advantage business, which had its best-ever enrollment last year, adding 325,000 elderly Americans.

FACT OF THE DAY

Even though it’s technically possible to track someone through a cell phone, it’s not always legal. Unless you are part of a law enforcement agency and have a warrant to do so, it is usually illegal to track the physical location of an adult person through his or her cell phone without his or her consent.

While law enforcement can use this technology to locate kidnapped kids, Kidnappers can use this technology to locate kids.

CONGRATULATIONS TO PRESIDENT ELECT BIDEN AND VP ELECT HARRIS

Biden and Harris ran an excellent campaign of letting his opponent twitter himself into a one term Presidency. My suggestion is, if you’re going to tweet as a President, is have a PR team translate what you are trying to say to the masses. It made all the difference of riling up his opponents into a record breaking turnout.

The one take I got is that civility and the message of unity won out and you can see that in the states that went from red to blue in the presidency while still voting in those congresspeople on the red side. Manners and quiet confidence took the day.

Soooo…. crossing my fingers that the outgoing President doesn’t decide to launch a nuclear attack on Pennsylvania or any foreign entity. You think I’m kidding.

OIL IS THE NEXT MAJOR GAME CHANGER

With the debates mentioning the commodity crude oil, I feel like Americans should take a look at this industry and what role it plays in our lives. Now there are many kinds of oil, olive oil being my favorite and, in my opinion, the best, as it reduces LDL and has a decent smoke point but other people have mentioned Canola being just as good if not better. Now, I don’t use canola oil because, mainly, I don’t know what a canola is and when I go to the bakery and buy one, I can’t for the life of me figure out how they get oil from those things. Of course the baker always says “that’s a cannoli dumbass”, I just think tomato .. tomatoe. What’s the difference. But this isn’t about olives and crazy looking pastries that you can turn into cooking oils unless they find a way to make cars and stoves and water heaters run on vegetable oil, btw and oddly enough, the worst cooking oil for you when it comes to your health, remember that when they tell you to eat a vegetable that you don’t like, brussel sprouts, this is about fossil fuels.

Now look at these statements provided by the Department of Energy:

  • Globally, we currently consume the equivalent of over 11 billion tonnes of oil from fossil fuels every year. Crude oil reserves are vanishing at a rate of more than 4 billion tonnes a year – so if we carry on as we are, our known oil deposits could run out in just over 53 years.
  • The United States gets 81% of its total energy from oil, coal, and natural gas, all of which are fossil fuels. We depend on those fuels to heat our homes, run our vehicles, power industry and manufacturing, and provide us with electricity.
  • There are 6,923 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) of proven gas reserves in the world as of 2017. The world has proven reserves equivalent to 52.3 times its annual consumption. This means it has about 52 years of gas left (at current consumption levels and excluding unproven reserves).
  • What is the amount of world coal reserves? As of December 31, 2016, estimates of total world proved recoverable reserves of coal were about 1,144 billion short tons (or about 1.14 trillion short tons), and five countries had about 75% of the world’s proved coal reserves.

These statements all point to a reckoning in about 100 years, on the long side, closer to 50 years because consumption is going to grow as the world’s population expands. With 81% of all motorized vehicles running on oil, the preferred method of, well, 81% of the people, then we have to think about our grand kids and how they’re going to get around if we don’t find a better way to to create propulsion, which rhymes with compulsion, seeing where I’m going with this? Yeah, me neither. The fact remains though that there is no better way, yet, to move a vehicle at high speeds, especially large vehicles like rockets and tanks and aircraft vehicles, submarines, gunships. Now do you see where I’m going with this?

Our military won’t be such an effective military if they have to push that aircraft carrier (most run on nuclear reactors but the planes don’t) because people think it’s patriotic to buy gas and not use renewable energy. And this could happen, if you factor discovering new fossil fuel depots, in the next 200 years. If we don’t then it could happen in our lifetime. This is why I think the Dems and Repubs that push for renewable energy are geniuses. They are thinking long term. They’re thinking future world domination shit, while also thinking climate change. The fact is that oil is a commodity, like palladium and gold, and trades on the open market because it has a finite amount. It has an expiration date a lot like the Dodo, extinct for 332 years, according to google, not my mother who says she gave birth to one, of course I rationalize she has two other kids, it could be them except she always points when she says it and I’m the only one in the room. Well this is not about my loving mom and her endearing gestures, who points with their middle finger, weird, it’s about how we need to start using renewable energy and storing crude oil in massive underground oil refineries. We need to start thinking about tomorrow today not tomorrow or next week but maybe yesterday. What day is it? Again, if we don’t plan for the future right now, if we don’t get smart and start making that number of 81% of homes use renewable energy, then we could be looking at a crises where the smarter nations of China and Russia have stock piled trillions of tons of crude that can power these larger vehicles and rockets and we can use our muskets to defend ourselves from any invasion. Sounds horrifying, I don’t even own a musket. I’m going to Amazon right now to get one.

The moral of this possibly true story is that renewable energy is not only good for the environment but also our way of life, our democracy, our country as we know it. And don’t wait to late to start implementing these changes because there’s this guy, Murphy, and he has this law, and he loves to implement that law at the worst times. So, when oil is starting to run out and we waited to long to get ready, Murphy is going to start another pandemic that will make this one seem like a merry go round.

Now, do they deserve subsidies, no, the government overpays for everything and they are going to be the biggest consumer. They’ll be lucky that, like other nations, don’t get taken over by the government. Will oil people lose their jobs, no, they might make more money if we go green as the commodity becomes more precious. Funny how things work. If we actually go green, the oil industry will become bigger than ever.

And on an unrelated note except for the fact that Texas makes much of it’s profit from oil, Dallas Cowboys… Kaepernick is still available, that’s if you want to win.

COULD PANDEMICS BE TIED TO INDUSTRIALIZATION AND DEFORESTATION AND CLIMATE CHANGE?

Pandemics were rare, especially the ones… the kind that could wipe out the human race, how do I know? Because I’m writing this shitty blog, therefore, some of us idiots are still alive. But the fallacy that pandemics only occur every one hundred years is a fairy tale like Cinderella, Snow White or the rule of law. All make believe stories that are made to make you feel better. The fact is that  the H2N2/Asian flu in 1957-1958; the H3N2 flu virus in 1968; and the H1N1/swine flu in 2009 all come in a short period of time but science was ahead of the curve in those cases and able to stave off any mass hysteria. Well, we’re getting to the time where the viruses are starting to surpass science’s ability to negate any detrimental affects… effects… no it’s affects… of the harm it could do to society. One thing that goes hand in hand with these outbreaks is the ever changing climate and the advancing industrialization and deforestation of the planet. The planet, like my spine, is not in balance. It’s off it’s axis, a lot like the rare deformation of the C-1 spinal disc in my back. One has to wonder if these two phenomena (a plural of phenomenon, weird right, I didn’t know that either) climate change due to deforestation and industrialization and the pandemics are somehow linked. If it is, then look for a worse pandemic in the next twenty years as Brazil makes the whole country into a beach town by steadily removing the Amazon from existence. If there isn’t an eco-balance then I’m guessing that the world will find a way to balance itself out and what better way than to release a virus that would stop the culprits, in this case humans, from destroying it completely. That’s if you believe that the world is a living thing that lives on a homeostasis sort of ecology. I believe it. My point is we have two options, become a whole lot more eco friendly or have a way better pandemic solution than masks. Preferably both would be great.

QUOTE OF THE DAY!

a smiling man in a kitchen: Former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg on Friday blasted President Trump's reported 2018 comments about veterans who died in WWI. Fox News

Pete Buttigieg says Trump disrespected US military since the day he let a ‘sucker’ serve in Vietnam in his place.

Lol… hahaha… that’s a good one, yep…. that’s a heck of a dig. Where I grew up, that’s called playing the dozens.

and not to date myself, but that’s one hell of a diss….

In the debates, Presidential nominee Biden is going to need something Pete who should have been the Presidential nominee has, the ability to hit back in a way that makes you say goddamn, I know that hurt.

IMO: RITTENHOUSE WON’T BE CHARGED WITH MURDER

Kenosha

Rittenhouse, the dumb shit that he is, will not get charged with murder, if the accounts that I have read online are true. In a nutshell, this idiot of a kid went to Wisconsin to play superhero and then ran when someone went towards him to try and take his weapon. The other person, who I will not deride because that awful mistake cost him his life, made a serious error in judgement by going after the teenage mutant idiot. What his defense will be is that he feared for his life because the other young man tried to take his weapon, which I gather is legal in Wisconsin to open carry. Why Super Dumb Dumb brought a weapon to a peaceful march, maybe it was and maybe it wasn’t, in the first place is anyone’s guess because protecting someone’s business that didn’t hire you to do it or you are not legally authorized to do is ridiculous. The threats of beat him up and get him afterwards when he was running away are going to support his claims of self defense, which, him being a super moron, should have made no difference with his super dumb dumb strength. All in all, look for reckless endangerment charges to be added and a plea deal to be reached by the prosecutors. The only twist is the authorization to open carry in a state he doesn’t reside in or if someone heard him say he was going there to kill someone prior to it happening. In the end, Rittenhouse is probably going to jail but probably not for murder. This will haunt him for the rest of his life and I hope he takes the path of making amends and not the path of I didn’t do anything wrong.  Some on the left are going to be outraged that he didn’t get murder charges and sentenced to life  without the possibility of dessert and parole and some on the right are going to be outraged that they aren’t making a statue of him in some park but the fact is that this kid is a cautionary tale of let the people that are suppose to handle these actions, handle them. Privilege is not in the Constitution, it is what the Constitution rails against.

When moron becomes a felony, this kid has no defense, neither would a lot of people, ’til then, we pray for the lives that were lost needlessly and hope that wisdom prevails in the face of ignorance.

I feel bad for Rittenhouse because he is going to mature super quickly, As a wise old man once said, If you’e not a man without a gun, you’re not a man, The movie Friday. I’m all for the Second Amendment but I’m completely against open carry or even carrying in public. If you fear going out in public, you either have unfounded fears or we have a social system that has completely failed and we need to focus on education, of the mind and of civil society. I teach my kid to box, not so he can go out there and start fights but because I never want him to have to pick up a weapon to defend himself but I want him confident enough to be able to resolve matters peacefully without fear of getting hurt. IMO (In My Opinion) only cowards need to make a statement about how cool they are by carrying a gun openly, unless you are an LEO of course, then it’s your job. I will say that since his murder charge will be thrown out and that since his offense is one of immaturity, being an absolute dumb dumb, that MAYBE  he should probably seen as a youth offender if his lawyer can show that he has no priors and that his intentions weren’t to create harm and the introduction of mitigating circumstances point towards that direction, i.e. my son volunteered at a food pantry, things like that.

It would be easy for me to say that this kid deserves hard time because, historically speaking, me being Hispanic, Hispanics and African Americas rarely get the same consideration during the mitigating circumstance portion of a trial, but just because we get treated unfairly doesn’t mean that treating this kid unfairly would be right or even resolve any of the past, it would just be vengeance, that being said, he is still a Super Dumb Dumb.
